
The Sony HX5v records videos using the AVCHD codec (the files use the .mts extension), which is great for storing lots of information in a small amount of space. At one time AVCHD files were incompatible with Facebook but we understand this is no longer the case. Such as iMovie, though it is still incompatible with some Sony models say AVCHD or Mpeg-motion recoding model, but every version it is solveing problem with progress, so may be next year it will be ok.
